NO LICENSE is required in order to rent a vessel under 30hp.
It is forbidden to rent a vessel under the age of 18.
It is necessary to be informed and follow the safety regulations.
The Lessee and the passengers are obliged to obey all the laws and Regulations of the Hellenic Coast Guard.
You are personally responsible for any damage to our boats, other boats or other property caused by your violation of safe boating regulations. More specifically, according to Hellenic Coast Guard rules it is prohibited to move:
a) at a distance of less than one hundred (100) meters from the outside of the floating markers, which indicate the limits that are usually reached by swimmers.
b) at a distance of less than two hundred (200) meters from the usual point to which swimmers reach by swimming in the sea areas that are not marked with floating markers.
The vessels are insured towards third parties in accordance with Greek Law (law 4256/2014). Any excess not covered by insurance companies will be charged on the Lessee.
The Lessee has full responsibility for both the vessel and any harm of the passengers.
Navigation rules must be followed. Information leaflets are located on each vessel. Instructions are also provided at the handling demonstration lesson provided before each rental. Please feel free to ask whatever may trouble you regarding the boat handling.
Maximum distance from the shore must not exceed 3 Nautical Miles.
The Lesee is responsible for being aware of currents and winds. Do not beach boats or allow boats to become beached by waves or changing winds.
Do not leave boats unattended.
Be extra careful of shallow water! switch off engine and move away immediately.
Maximum number of people allowed on the vessel varies. This cannot exceed boat permit at any time.
In case of cancellation, money is refundable based on our Refunds & Cancellation Policy.
Before entering the boat, please check for any previous damages.
You must pay for any engine or material damages that might occur during your rental of the vessel or for equipment loss (e.g anchor, cushions, life jackets etc.) during your rental.
When you board the vessel the state of the equipment must be checked.
On the day of the rental you will have to provide an identification document (ID/passport/driver license)
Fuel is not included in the rental price. It is always paid based on consumption at the end of the rental.
We are not responsible for any loss of your personal belongings during the rental period.
You are not allowed to sub-lease the boat.
CONTECO may cancel any reservation due to weather or mechanical issues of the boat without any prior communication. In such cases any amount prepaid will be fully refunded with no other obligation from CONTECO for compensation.
